บทคัดย่อ:

ย่านตลิ่งชันมีประวัติศาสตร์ พัฒนาการ และการเปลี่ยนแปลงมาช้านานนับแต่สมัยอยุธยาจนถึงปัจจุบัน เป็นพื้นที่ที่มีคุณค่าทั้งเชิงนิเวศและวัฒนธรรม เป็นดินแดนเครือข่ายสายนำ เคยเป็นพื้นที่สวนดั้งเดิม ที่นา และสวนผัก เป็นที่ตั้งถิ่นฐานของคนไทยและจีนทั้งที่นับถือศาสนาพุทธ ศาสนาคริสต์ และความเชื่อแบบจีน ด้วยความเป็นพื้นที่อยู่ใกล้ใจกลางกรุงเทพมหานครจึงได้รับการพัฒนาและเกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลง จนปัจจุบันย่านตลิ่งชันมิใช่ย่านทำนาและสวนผัก ส่วนพื้นที่สวนดั้งเดิมเหลืออยู่น้อยมาก ซึ่งทุกวันนี้ชาวสวนย่านตลิ่งชันที่ยังรักในถิ่นฐานพยายามรักษาวิถีชีวิตชาวสวนวัฒนธรรมชาวนำชาวคลองไว้ท่ามกลางกระแสการเปลี่ยนแปลง ทำให้ปัจจุบันย่านตลิ่งชันยังเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ทั้งระบบนิเวศและวัฒนธรรมที่สำคัญแห่งหนึ่งของกรุงเทพมหานคร

ABSTRACT:

Talingchan has a long and interesting history dating from the Ayutthaya Period. It is a place where three different religions: Buddhists, Christians and Confusions, have lived together in harmonyfor around 200 years. Talingchan was once famous as a land of canals and waterways with an abundance of orchards, paddy fields and vegetable; the local people were known as canal people who were very good at agriculture. However, due to the fact that Talingchan is adjacent to the Bangkok metropolitan area it has been massively developed, resulting in huge changes to its geography and the resident’s lifestyle
