บทคัดย่อ:

บทความเสนอข้อโต้เถียงเกี่ยวกับความคลุมเครือในศิลปะร่วมสมัย และแนวคิดเชิงสหวิทยาการที่มีผลต่อมุมมอง ตลอดจนการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะ กล่าวคือ ศิลปะกับการดึงศาสตร์สาขาอื่นเข้ามามีส่วนร่วม ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวผลงานกับผู้ชม ศิลปะกับสาธารณะมีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างไร ศิลปะมีพันธะในการสร้างปฏิสัมพันธ์ต่อสาธารณชนหรือไม่? ความรับผิดชอบของศิลปินในฐานะส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชนที่ตนเองอาศัยอยู่คืออะไร? การปรากฏตัวของศิลปะในพื้นที่สาธารณะเป็นการแทรกแซงหรือเป็นนวัตกรรม? ประเด็นเหล่านี้ถูกนำเสนอผ่านการสัมมนานานาชาติ “ต่างคน (ต่างอยู่) ร่วมกันกับศิลปะ” (Public Art In (ter) vention) ที่จัดขึ้นที่ จ.เชียงใหม่ เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2548

ABSTRACT:

This article presents a debate on ambiguity in contemporary art and interdisciplinary approaches that affect artistic practices: art and other sciences, the relationship between art and its audience, the relationship between art and the public; does art have any mission to change society. Is it a responsibility of artists to have social engagement in their works? Is bringing art to the public an invention or intervention. These issues were presented through the seminar “Public Art in (ter) vention” held in Chiang Mai in 2005.
