บทคัดย่อ:

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับการกัลปนาคนในล้านนา โดยศึกษาจากจารึกล้านนา และการศึกษาถึงความสืบเนื่องและการเปลี่ยนแปลงแนวคิดของคนในชุมชนรอบวัดพระธาตุศรีจอมทองวรวิหาร อำเภอจอมทอง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ที่มีต่อการกัลปนาคน

ผลของการศึกษาพบว่าการกัลปนาของล้านนานั้น มีองค์ประกอบสำคัญ ๔ อย่าง คือ อายุสมัย ผู้กัลปนา สิ่งของที่ใช้ในการกัลปนา และเป้าหมายในการกัลปนา โดยการกัลปนาคนในล้านนานั้น พระมหากษัตริย์หรือพระบรมวงศานุวงศ์จะมีบทบาทอย่างสูงในการเข้ามาดำเนินการ

และสำหรับความสืบเนื่องและเปลี่ยนแปลงแนวคิดของคนในชุมชนบริเวณรอบวัดพระธาตุศรีจอมทองนั้น พบว่ายังมีแนวคิดหรือพิธีกรรมบางอย่างที่สะท้อนออกมาให้เห็นถึงความเชื่อดังกล่าว ภายใต้บริบทของสังคมที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป

ABSTRACT:

The purpose of this research is to study the Monastic Human Endowments (Kalpana) in Lanna through research on various Lanna inscriptions. The research also aims to reveal the continuity and changes of this notion among the people of Wat Phrathat Sri Chomtong Waravihara community in Chiangmai.

As a result, the study shows that the Monastic Human Endowments (Kalpana) in Lanna is composed of 4 elements: the time and period, the self construction of donors, the donating objects and the objectives of the endowments. In the case of the Monastic Human Endowments (Kalpana) in Lanna, important roles were played by Kings or people of high rank such as Royal Families.

In conclusion, the study shows that although many social contexts have gradually changed, a belief in the Monastic Human Endowments (Kalpana) among the people of Wat Phrathat Sri Chomtong Waravihara community still lives on, as seen from many reflections of some ritual practices and concepts.
